Depict! Task Evaluation
During the pre-production stage of my task, I helped with filling in some of the paperwork. An example of this is the treatment at the start of the process which outlined the basis of the task. Although Maddie and Paige Contributed to the treatment, Phil took a backseat during that task whilst the others thought of the ideas for the Task. After this, we separated who was doing what task. I was tasked with the shot list, in addition to Phil, as well as the Model Agreement sheets and the risk assessments. I managed to complete all of these tasks that were set to me during this time, to a high standard as well. I also was the one who edited the music video, with the feedback and improvements for it coming from the whole group. I feel that I could've used more time with the editing in order to improve the quality of the cuts and transitions. I tried to help as best I could when I had nothing else to do, such as with the camerawork or paperwork Phil was working on. When doing another task, I believe that the knowledge I now have would help me to improve the quality and standard of my work over all and would help me to commit to my work in a more efficient manner.
The end product ended up as complete as it could be, with the shots we needed all being there. With more time we could have changed the continuity error that is in two scenes, when me (Tristan) and Phil are wearing different clothes in the classroom scene compared to on the others. The lighting is also something that could be improved upon, as in some shots such as in the green screen room, when the lighting caused more work in editing, where we had to adjust the lighting as well as apply the greenscreen. I think the narrative turned out well, although it was confusing on paper. The process of recording and editing went as smooth as it could within the time frame allowed to us and I feel we all delegated positions and jobs well, choosing who was best suited to each aspect of the project. In addition to delegating the position we ensured that we all would get along with each other, asking for help if needed.
