Six Mothers
The short films six mothers uses an interesting shot for most of the film, which is the underwater shot. I find this interesting as it makes you feel completely zoned out, with the score being atmospheric in the background which makes you feel numb. The transitions between each shot and the music getting tenser and tenser, the pitch higher and higher, helps to create a sense of panic for the character. As it gets faster and faster the sense of danger gets higher and higher and suddenly when it switches to the balloon popping the score is silent and all you can here is the voice over. The artistic design of the characters outfits helps push the weirdness of the video, whilst still maintaining a sense of narrative. This is interesting to me because it makes the audience feel something.
